Remembering God’s Faithfulness

I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.” - Psalm 77:11–12

This Sunday, after our worship service, we’ll hold our church Annual General Meeting. This might be the most exciting event of the year.*

God continues to be faithful to his church, and taking time to remember his miracles, consider his works, and meditate on his mighty deeds is well worth the effort. I often wonder how much joy we miss out on simply because we fail to remember God’s faithfulness. The things he has done, the prayers he has answered, the moments that have strengthened our faith can all become reasons to renew our worship when we take the time to reflect on them.

So let’s be intentional about remembering and reflecting on God’s goodness. May the things he has done to strengthen our faith in the past never fade from memory, but continue to encourage us, deepen our trust in him, and strengthen us for the days ahead.

What prayer has God answered, or what work has he done in your life or in our church over the past year, that you could take time to thank him for again today?

Blessings,

Geoff

*It also might not be, but you’ll have to come to find out which it is.
